Signer identity
Name, email, IP address, and device fingerprint are captured at the moment of signing.
Digital signature
The signer's handwritten signature is embedded directly in the document alongside a cryptographic seal.
Tamper-proof hash
A unique SHA-256 fingerprint of the document is generated at signing. Any modification — even a single space — will produce a different hash.
Automatic integrity check
Each copy is checked against its seal automatically, so an altered file is flagged rather than quietly accepted. Signers reach their copy from the original signing link — still no account.

- Is an electronic signature legally binding?
- Electronic signatures are recognised under the US ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS regulation. CalmSign records the identity, timestamp, IP, and device behind every signature, which is the evidence that backs one up. It is not legal advice — the security page sets out exactly what is captured.
- Does the other side need an account?
- No. Your signer opens the link, reads the document, and signs. Only the person sending needs a CalmSign account, and the free plan covers five documents a month.
- What happens if we outgrow the free plan?
- Pro is $12 a month for unlimited documents. Business is $29 a month for five seats, the REST API, and webhooks. There is no contract, and documents you have already signed stay yours either way.
